[36/365]

This is my 365 for today. Although it's old and from the rubber ducky day, I still love it.
Played a game last night and it was so much fun. Reminded me of the days when I used to play church ball. I had sixteen points the whole game, but I also had a few turnovers and stuff... but i had Chikfila before the game so that made my night. Then this fine Saturday morning I had another game which was pretty good. I had at least eight points. Today was also homecoming day. That was the last game of our regular season, so it was kind of sad, but my coach is going to get some tournaments and scrimmages for us to do. We'll probably have a bunch of practices, too, to get ready for Nationals which is coming up and which I am definitely going to. It's going to be a blast.

We got Little Caesars for dinner which was absolutely scrumptious. We went into a thrift shop and looked around after my game. There were tons of interesting stuff in there! Eventually I want to get some little green mason jars and put things in them like sprinkles, twigs, you know... stuff like that. I think it would be cute. :) I have still yet to put my origami cranes up though. That was one of the things I wanted to do today that didn't get done.

^These little icicles hanging off everything were so cute!^
^That's the neighbors house back there, but I love how it looks like a little cottage.^
^Where would I be without sun flares?^

It finally snowed! Yay! The first larg-ish, ice-ish snow of the year. We went sledding at the neighbors big hill for quite a few hours. There were several "tracks" we could go down. One was on the far side of their hill with trees all around. After maneuvering through the trees and turning you would fly up across their driveway catching about a foot of air, then inevitability crash back down on your sled.... Pretty sure my rib cage is bruised.

All of the pictures above are some of my 365's for the past few days.

This is a stop motion video I made a few days ago to document the snow. It had just started snowing a few hours ago. The song is Heartbreak Warfare by John Mayer

Well I am off to go make and decorate a piggy bank for a contest coming up. Should be fun but I'm sure challenging. Crafting isn't really my thing....

So we played a game yesterday night. It was an okay game, nobody really was on top of their game but somehow we managed to win anyway by more than twenty. We stayed and watched all the boys and girls games and I didn't get back until late, but thank goodness it's a weekend this morning, and I got to sleep in quite a bit. It felt good, I'm recharged for the week.

The photo right below I took the other day for my 365 but I don't like it at all.... I took one about six months ago of the exact same thing, minus quite a bit of quarters, that I absolutely love. I think the way I staggered the quarters in the one six months ago makes it more interesting.

If you care to look at my online photography portfolio it's HERE.

So I have a basketball game later. Should be a tough one, but I'm excited to get out of the house. I should probably be going getting ready for that....

I tried to take some decent pictures today. I had these grand plans to take something in a puddle, kind of like my duckie pictures that I took earlier this week, but alas, not really anything came out. I ended up with these plain-jane pictures:

I am taking these accounting books this year for part of m schooling, and I really enjoy doing them. I'm really ahead in the books, so I'm going to try and finish early. I want to look at being an accountant for my future career. Maybe study that in college or something.... That is definately what I'm leaning towards.

So today my sister (Rachel) and I went to our monthly SGA meeting. Our annual Valentines Party is coming up for K-5th graders, so we plan games and crafts for each age group. I researched a bunch of crafts ahead of time, but everything seemed pretty messy for the little kids to do and such, but I finally came up with a few. We voted on them and none of mine got chosen, but I'm okay with that. Everybody brought some great ideas.... So I guess we have this thing all figured out.

Rachel and I then went to return this shirt I had gotten from Rue 21 a couple of weeks earlier, that...unfortunately...didn't fit. I got it on sale for $3.00; how good is that! So I exchanged it for a cute little owl necklace that I think looks very much like me. I never want to take it off. :) I want to do my 365 with it tomorrow. Hopefully that will turn out.... I want to take a really good picture for my 365 tomorrow. Something I really am proud of.....

So I guess I never really got around to really trying to take something for my 365 today. I just kind of snapped a few shots around town and such. So I am uploading this to Flickr for myself mostly. I like what it reminds me of.

So I'm going to give this blogging thing another try. I used to have one way back when, but I don't know what happened to it.

These pictures I took the other day for my 365, and I was quite pleased with them. I guess I forgot how cute rubber duckies are....
Anyhow, I'm really starting to miss the summer. A lot.... I miss:

Being out of school
Popsicles
Sitting in my swing while talking on the phone
Rubbing my toes in the dirt
Running barefoot
Swimming
Wearing shorts and t-shirts
Flip-flops
Fresh air
Taking picture walks
Having the fans on

It's funny how people look forward to the cold weather, and then right when they are starting to get really sick of it, spring rolls around. It's probably going to be another two or three months though.... So I guess I had better get used to coats and thermal underwear and such.
